FESTIVAL
To further its
goals, the Foundation felt the need to reach out its message to
the younger generation through activities involving them. One India
One People Festival is an inter-school talent competition, which
will give an opportunity to not only bring children together, but
also to hone a number of skillsand talents that each child is gifted
with. In order to involve as many children as possible, One India
One People Festival will be conducted in a number of places region
wise and in a phased manner.
There were three
such festivals held in the academic year of 2003-2004. A total of
1200 students participated from all over Mumbai in various events
of Fine Arts, Literature and Performing Arts.

CLUBS
Besides organizing
the Festivals, the Foundation has also started opening One India
One People Clubs in schools. Through these clubs, the Foundation
will involve the youth to spread the message of unity far and wide
and inculcate
in children a sense of belonging to the nation.

LECTURE SERIES
The Foundation
arranges public lectures commissioned under 'The OIOP Lecture Series'.
Distinguished speakers are invited to help bring together like-minded
citizens to voice their opinions and help change the future of India
for better.
The inaugural
lecture titled 'Courting Justice, Dismissing Delays' saw two distinguished
legal luminaries speak on judicial accountability and delays in
the justice delivery system. It was held on Monday, October 7, 2002
at 6.30 PM. at the Rama Watumull Auditorium, KC College, Mumbai.

The Second lecture
was held on January 29, 2003 on 'A Saga of Scams'. Two eminent personalities
- Arun Bhatia and Kumar Ketkar were invited to speak on the ocassion.
BLOOD
DONATION CAMPS
A Blood Donation
Camp was held on October 31 & November 1, 2002 at Churchgate Station,
from 11 am onwards. 252 Units of Blood was collected. The Camp was
held in association with the Thalessemia Welfare Association.
THE
WRITER'S MEET
The first writer's meet organized by One India One People
Foundation was held on March 23, 2002 at the International YMCA, Mumbai Central. The idea of having
a writer's meet was to come together to share the views and opinions of people associated with the magazine.
